Im following 100 and have like 46 followers.
I post pictures quite frequently of London, nutella, me, wallpapers etc
Also if u have instagram or twitter just post your username and I'll follow if u follow back

Instagram is pretty new so there aren't to much different methods for getting followers.
You can be active in the community and all that, it always helps. I also suggest you keep in mind you can buy instagram followers from freelancers.
I suggest buying from gig based websites that deals with social media optimization, look for sellers with positive results and reputation. Cheers.
