Make your twitter public. Post your URL everywhere (but don't spam) so people can see it. There isn't any of those "Trains" that Myspace has.

You've got to ask yourself why?
If it simply for marketing reasons then work hard at talking about your product so that other 'tweeters' will find it interesting and want to follow you.
I follow people based on quality and whether I find them a valuable 'pop up' in my twitter client.
I only follow people I find interesting and beneficial to me and my business.

Make your Twitter public, post interesting tweets (not the 'I had cereal for breakfast. YUM!' ones) and make sure to follow all the people that are following you.
