Why does it matter if you look like a loser? Who is going to care, it's only facebook.
But yeah you do only have 20 friends, but that has nothing to do with how many friends you actually have in real life. I'm sure not every friend you have is on facebook.

Haha! I always see facebook profiles like that! If someone thinks you're a loser because you have no facebook friends... then they must be the real losers. You can always delete your facebook account if you don't use it! Nobody judges people on how many facebook friends you have unless they are total losers

just the opposite. shows that you actually have a life instead of just being on facebook 24/7. you have better things to do. honestly i think facebook is kinda pointless/boring. Congrats, you have a life!
