i'd like to receive updates from the people im following and the direct messages i get from people through my handphone. I'd want to receive them through the form of a text message, and without using any handphone internet or whatsoever. And i need it to be free. any such websites? there used to be. but then the company was sold or something.

Actually, you can do that from Twitter.com. its what i do. All you have to do is log in to twitter from you computer, then go to settings, and click "devices" put in the info it acts for, then you can update your twitter by texting your update to "40404" or recieve tweets and direct messages from your device
