Why are comments of mine in Facebook groups and pages showing up in Google search results? - grlnxdoor0184 - 11-09-2012 11:07 AM

I randomly check myself in Google search to be safe and sure I'm unexposed to my abusive psychotic Ex (he's previously been put on a restraining order from me) and other strangers out there. I am unsearchable publicly, also my likes & interests are visible only to friends. I understand the pages & groups I join are not private, but that in effect doesn't (or shouldn't for that matter) mean it is open for 'global' public display...

How does personal commenting of mine get into Google's possession in the first place, and is canceling the account the only solution....

Is it possible to contact google to have them removed? I am not interested in leaving Facebook since I keep in touch with both friends & family but I do not enjoy the idea of just 'anybody' especially my crazy ex to see my interactions...

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! ugggghh ......

Ask google to take it off search results. It worked for Australia against Encyclopedia Dramatica, why not for you against your ex?

Google has these little stringlets of code, better known as web crawlers that go around the internet looking for content. It then uses a complicated formula based on relevance and how many people go there to punch that site into google results.
