Okay, so i recently joined twitter...but i kinda find it confusing sometimes...so here are some of my questions:
1)When u click "mention @" someone, does that person see that message on their home page when they log in, even if they don't follow you??
2)Someone has to be following you to see your tweets right?!
3)What exactly is DM and how does that work?

yes..go on your twitter.
1) On the right side tool bar there is a link (in blue unless you changed the colors under settings) that reads, "@yourusername" Click on it and it will lead you to all of the comments that people have responded to you (like replys). --I just figured that out recently! lol
2) If someone is following you, they will automatically get your tweets on their homepage. Unless you set your profile to private, anyone in the world can see your tweeter. All celebrities keep their's public so it is ok.
3) DM means "direct message". This is only applys to someone who is following you. Anyone who is following you can direct message you. If someone is not following you, they can't. You can not DM anyone else unless you and them are both following each other.
