Is it possible that someone else attempt to enter one's facebook profile with a mobile? - colossalfan635 - 11-09-2012 11:12 AM

I got a message from facebook telling me that someone from Peru has attempted to enter my facebook profile. Is it a real message or what is it?
This is for the second time it happens to me but I thought I have done an error or something..

Yup, change your password. That happened to me once.

If the message has a clickable link in it to "fix" the problem, do NOT click on it! Close your browser and type in the URL to a new browser window manually and log in. For safety's sake, go ahead and change your password.

Also note that any legit message from Facebook will be addressed to the full name on your Facebook account, not "Dear Facebook User" or "Dear <e-mail address>." Anything else is a phishing SCAM and should be discarded.
