timeline is permanent. You cant change back to the original once you change, even with an iPhone.
They have coding you can do to change it back but its nearly impossible unless your a facebook coder.

there is no way to remove it - everyone is being converted to the timeline - it's the new look for facebook, not an optional update - they are now forcibly converting everyone slowly without your consent

You cannot change the timeline view in facebook either in application or using through browser.
Timeline is default and permanent which is applicable universal.
