In person, or facebook? - TheStig - 11-09-2012 11:15 AM

Alright so for some background on this question look here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AsSNm6WFQOXbxZjqShO5TvHsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20120613000658AAOel5x

Now, I wanna get this girl's number and start talking to her, see where it goes, but I'm kinda stuck. Whenever we talk at work it's just kinda like normal small talk conversation, and I can't think of a good way to work into the convo me getting her number. It's sooo annoying because since I really like her, it's tough to move past small talk because I'm always over analyzing what to say. It just kind of always feels like it might be a bit awkward. We're friends on facebook, so I thought maybe I could just start messaging her or something because it's easier and takes off pressure, but I don't really want to do that because in person>call>text>facebook.

I've gotten girls #'s both ways before, but this is a different kind of situation because we work together a couple days a week.

Now don't lecture me on relationships at work, it's just a pizza place and are both in college, it's not like an office job or any sort of career, just a part time job.

So I'm just wondering what kind of approach you would take, I've never really had to navigate this kind of situation before and I don't wanna mess anything up.

I was around long before Facebook was ever invented and the way it was done then was always face to face. "Listen, I really like you and wondered if you'd be insulted if I asked for your number so we could talk without all of this business stuff going on, maybe take you to a movie or something?" See back then the only way to talk to a girl was face to face, we did't text, we had no cell phones and we sure didn't have facebook. Guys always feel a bit worried about asking a girl directly these days but eye to eye is the best way. If she says no you just know she isn't interested but if she says yes it may be because you were looking right at her when you asked and she could see your sincerity, can't do that with a text.
