At school in Government, we are having groups and one person from each group must be mayor. We are allowed to use posters and pictures, but a student went to my facebook and used it for a poster.
I know it is illegal to edit someones photo, but can they use it if they did not ask, and didnt edit it? (Other than putting text under)

No because it is a public site. And it's illegal to publish the picture if it has Copyright which I'm pretty sure it didn't.

I would have said they have violated Facebook rights
