I go to a medium sized University and just from attending 2 1/2 years I've accrued about 300 friends at UConn and 500 friends total. I don't add anyone or accept anyone randomly except popular basketball and football players from UConn. I would say i'm friend friends with about a 1/5 of my total friends, acquaintances with about half, and know of/can force small talk with the rest.

Hi !
I only have a few people on my facebook and they are mostly friends that I have met in person and relatives. One I do not know at all, not even sure how she got on my facebook lol and one I met on the internet and have talked to on the phone.
Have a great day!
