Spyderblade is correct; there is no limit set by FB...but good luck catching up with Ashton Kutcher.

You can have maximum of 5000 Facebook friends. That's the upper limit.
However, you can have an unlimited number of subscribers on Facebook.
This subscription feature is really wonderful. It allows you to communicate with milliions of people from your profile.
