because they dont want to have to learn how to use it - most people dont like change and dont like having to relearn something

i personally hate the timeline because i prefer the MUCH SIMPLER original design.
in the old days, i can just scroll down to stalk a person.
now, i need to check timelines... i have to go to their annual archives, and scan for items. not only that, they prevent people from "keep scrolling down."
sure, it's good to have your facebook organized in a neat manner. however, for older users and for those who don't post that many pictures -- it's chaotic.
oh, and yahoo answers is not good. why not google it yourself?
