Friend hacked an ex Facebook and yahoo email on my computer? - Terrence - 11-09-2012 11:30 AM

So my friend asked to use my computer so I let her. Well she hacked into a ex Facebook and yahoo mail and changed the passwords. Once I found out I text the girl who's account was hacked and gave her the new passwords. My fear is there no way of proving it wasn't me. So if the girl who's account was hacked goes to the police/FBI with my ip address will the police follow up on this and track me down and lock me up?

There is lots of people who do this so you have less of a chance of being arrested or fined, you probably won't but it is still possible this is just like downloading music illegally millions of people do it but you still have a small chance of being the one who gets caught Don't Worry too much but it's still possible
Hope this helps Smile

I guess you're not really in a big trouble.

I'd recommend downloading Malwarebytes to remove any infections on your PC.

Malwarebytes Download: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/

Once you have it, run a full system scan as well as a flash scan.

This way you will remove any infections from your PC.

After you have removed any infections, change all of your passwords to a new password.

Try to make your new password as hard to Crack/Bruteforce as possible.

To generate a password that is difficult to Bruteforce, go here - http://strongpasswordgenerator.com/

This way, the hacker will no longer be able to see your new password because all infections have been removed from your PC.

I hope this helps.
