Can you suggest a book on Client Server Algorithms? - Chayan - 11-09-2012 11:35 AM

I want to build an application on client server architecture. Now, I cannot help wonder how the domain based networks are actually implemented. I can think of Facebook which stores millions of id and passwords, gives millions of connections concurrently, searches their huge database very rapidly and still very error free and difficult for hackers. Again I can think of Windows server. Just from the server set that a particular user or group cannot log after 6pm and it simply works! But how are these implemented? Probably you will say that these are secrets and cannot be learnt easily. But probably those who are doing MTech or PHD or working in the large projects are aware of it. OK, forget about these big pictures. I want to build a small client server application myself. But that should be similarly error free and difficult to hack. I know core java. Can you suggest a book on client server algorithms?
