Is there a way to remove the facebook timeline as of today? - Anarchism - 11-09-2012 11:36 AM

I removed it at one stage, it said disable timeline at the top of the page i remember but I think it got patched or something and now i have it again.

No. Everyone is eventually going to be changed over to timeline. You can't change back if you have it at this stage.

there is no way to remove it - everyone is being converted to the timeline - it's the new look for facebook, not an optional update - they are now forcibly converting everyone slowly without your consent

this guide will help you learn how to use it

Unfortunately the timeline is here to stay. Facebook is proud of the timeline. As we all know they do things unilaterally without any input from subscribers. Learn to live with it. There are actually some advantages to the timeline if you spend some time working with it.

Its not possible to completely remove Timeline, but you can alter your own view of Timeline in your browser to display it in a single column layout, to make timeline pages easier to read, you just need to install the FB Purity browser extension and select the single column layout option.

This method is safe and it really works, you can tell this because it has over 61,000 "likes" on the page, and hundreds of positive comments from people who have got it to work.

FB Purity has also been reviewed and highly rated in The Washington Post, CNET, Lifehacker and PCWorld.
