I don't know how to. I would like to download a picture from my iPod but I can't I don't have facebook or twitter. Can some one please help me.

Easier from a computer but desktop mode on a mobile sometimes works I believe. Go to view my Yahoo profile, click edit then click change picture. It will tell you to upload a pic from your computer and what size it should be. Just follow the instructions. Make sure your pulse is not set to private as that stops it from appearing, If this fails then it is due to the glitch many users have noticed. Yahoo are aware of it and are supposed to be sorting it.

Go to http://answers.yahoo.com/my-activity/edit/about
Then click on Update Photo, you can easily upload pic to your profile from there.
For customised avatars,
Go to http://avatars.yahoo.com
