So I just got a Facebook account, like 3 days ago, and I looked at my friends profiles. I saw that they had like 399-800 friends! And I just had like...16...so anyway...I tried to get more friends by just going to random accounts that I have a lot of mutual friends with, and friending them. Of course not a lot of people responded to my friend request, because they didn't know me personally. But a lot of people did friend me, and now all my friends at school are all like "Why did you friend my sister on facebook" and "Oh yeah you friended me on facebook, why?" and my brother said "Why did you friend people that I'M friends with?" And I didn't realize that I friended any of these UNKNOWN people, because all I did was friend people that I had a lot of mutual friends with! So anyway, people are making me feel awkward about the whole friending RANDOM people, and every now and then I run into that person. Also Facebook itself had sent me a pop-up kind of thing and it said that it suspects that I friending too many people I don't know, and that I might have 'my friending privileges taken away?' what the heck does that mean? Anyway what do you guys think I should do about the whole "friending thing." Also, what does that notice that facebook sent me about?

Facebook is pointless and ridiculous and just causes problems.

Hi,
Its not a big mistake. But it is better to stay out of facebook as it is a waste of time and causes troubles.

its not an awful situation because you know these people or know people who know them so they're not strangers. But if it makes you uncomfortable just unfriend them for now. And you'll start to gain plenty of friends
