How do you block people using Facebook Timeline? - Tiff - 11-09-2012 11:57 AM

I want to block a person on Facebook. He is using Timeline, which I find really confusing. With normal (old) FB, there was a "report/block" link at the bottom of the page, which allowed you to do this. I can't see this anywhere on the new Timeline page. I've tried going to the privacy settings and I type in his name but only a blank box comes up. Isn't there a direct way to do it on the person's profile page?

How is it that confusing? Its not, its simple.

Go to their profile, click the little arrow next to where it says message on the right of the timeline just below the cover photo. Then on the drop down menu, select 'Report/Block.

I think you can go to your settings/preferences and you should be able to block

To block people from posting to your timeline:
Open the account dropdown menu at the top right corner of Facebook and click Privacy Settings
Next to the How You Connect heading, click Change Settings
From the dropdown menu next to “Who can post on your wall?” choose Only Me
Note: Friends can comment on posts they can see, including posts on your timeline even if you have restricted who can post to your timeline. If you want to totally block individuals from posting to your timeline - including commenting on posts from others - you'll need to also limit them from seeing friends' posts on your timeline.
