Is there a way to delete unwanted ads? - Taylor Christina - 11-09-2012 11:57 AM

Every website I go to on my computer is giving me ads such as: "win this free Ipad" or "meet this girl" and I know about pop-up ads, but these ads are coming up on facebook, google...etc. I think is is because my computer got a virus about a month ago, its gone now, but when i delete my history the ads are gone and then they come back... Any thoughts about what i should do?

Install MalwareBytes and scan your entire computer for adware.

It sounds like you have inadvertently installed something known as adware, see here for more info: https://www.facebook.com/help/adware

BTW a great way to remove the normal ads on facebook is to install the FB Purity browser extension, its 100% safe & has lots of features for keeping your facebook clean: http://fbpurity.com
