I heard that you can see who views your facebook profile, is that true? - omgitsCINDY - 11-09-2012 11:57 AM

I don't know but I heard this in a song, and some of my friends say that you can download this app and Program that you can actually see who views your facebook profile. So is this true or is this a myth?

No it is not true. Some apps will tell you they can but really they just want to make you fill out a survey.

you heard it in a song?...

theres a 'social statistics' thing that lets you see your "top fans", which are the ppl who comment/like the most of your posts, but it doesnt count who VIEWS your profile the most.

No but you can see who comments on your posts the most, that's it.

No. Trackers like that require HTML and facebook doesn't allow HTML so...no.

Facebook doesn't allow people to track who views their profiles or contents. Third party applications are also are unable to track anybody.

Follow the source to see the Facebook's statement about this issue.

Despite what you hear from many applications, you can’t tell who views your profile. It's a violation of the terms of use on Facebook. I suppose that there may be an application, but using them will likely cause Facebook to delete your account without warning since you are violating the privacy rights of other people.

These profile viewing applications are not run or owned by the Facebook Company. These “fake” applications don’t work either and some may even contain viruses too! What’s worse is that it may even be owned by creepy people or hackers/stalkers that’ll take all of your Facebook data and use them for their own purpose (which probably isn’t good).

The Facebook help center also says that they “do not provide applications or groups with the technical means to allow people to track profile views or see statistics on how often a particular piece of content has been viewed and by whom. Applications you use may ask for permission to access content from your News Feed and Wall. Granting this permission does not allow applications to see who has viewed your profile. It simply allows applications to see which friends have interacted with posts, such as which friends liked or engaged with a particular wall post.” In other words, most of the applications don’t really know who has view your profile.

The good thing about this though is that you can look around other people’s profiles without getting discovered or caught. So yeah, you can go ahead and snoop around at your crush and you won’t get caught!

Hope this helps!!
