I created a facebook profile. Added my information, photos, friends, etc, but I can not see my profile in the timeline format. It is in the old facebook format.
Do I have to be part of facebook for a period of time before I can see the timeline format and change my cover photo?

At the top of the page when you view your profile, there should be an option to switch over to timeline. Otherwise it's a matter of time before the timeline becomes the standard view.
