So my ex friend took me off her friend list on facebook but when I tried to send her a message i couldn't. Was i blocked

When you search their name, they will not come up.

Yeah you were blocked, if you try to look them up on the search and they do not come up, then they blocked you, thats the only way to tell

1. They will dissappear from your friends list
2. They wont pop up on the search bar

If case of blocked both the users the person who blocks and the other who get blocked either of they cannot see each others profile or can contact through.
And there is no such way to get out of this unless you are unblocked back.
