True or false- people who are popular on facebook are usually popular in real life? - peace, love, happiness <3 - 11-09-2012 12:03 PM

It's true. For example if someone gets a ton of birthday wishes on fb, then that means that they have more friends than people who have only 10 birthday wishes on fb.

False. Popular doesn't mean well-known. Any idiot who has a thousand friends on facebook simply requests everyone they know = well-known. Popular means well-liked, and I'd gauge popularity based on in-person contacts, not facebook.

false, just cause someone has like 1000 friends dont mean they are popular in real life. i knew this girl who had 1000 friends on fb and got a lot of facebook birthday wishes and she didnt have a lot of friends in real life, only like 2 or 3.
