How can i stop facebook from emailing my PRIVATE friends list? - KRS - 11-09-2012 12:03 PM
My friends list is set to PRIVATE meaning i am the only one who can see it.
The people on my friends list are telling me that weekly they are getting email from Facebook asking
"Do you know John Doe"! and of course their pictures are being displayed.
It appears that out of all my facebook friends that my PRIVATE friends list is the only one being passed around via email.
any suggestions on how to stop this?
Well, can you please tell me how to turn it off?

facebook does that automatically to help you find friends - you cant turn it off

go to private setting or account setting. you will get the enough information and make some changes.

Facebook exists to make money out of you and your friends. This is how they work. You have no say in such things. You are the product being sold. If you do not like it leave Facebook.
