I have a facebook friend, who I know in real life, who sent me a message on chat saying something like 'I'm making cash online easily! Go to ______' I forgot the address.
And then I got a message from him on my wall (I also checked a mutual friend and he had the same thing on his wall too) Saying
'hey I'm making crazy money online! take a look at CashOnlineEasy.com to see how you can start too! sot'
There are 3 different letters at the end of each wall post but the message is the same. I have removed this friend, but should I be worried? I'm doing a scan right now, I'm also wondering how my friend got this himself because he's not an idiot...

First, you have nothing to worry about. You don't seem to have anything wrong with your Facebook account.
Second, your friend didn't send the message, obviously. I haven't found out exactly what is happening. It was my belief that there is a Facebook Application that is using your friend's contact list to spam. There are good applications like the Zynga games (Mafia Wars, Farmville, etc.) And sometimes there are bad ones. I have a friend that sent me the same message. I told her to go through her applications and get rid of the ones that she really doesn't need/doesn't know whether to trust. Your friend should do the same.
But it also could be a virus, or a phishing scam. read the links below to see how devious people have become.
