I get an email any time a person leaves a comment on my group's wall. I want this to stop as I'm afraid I'll loose members if it constantly is doing this kind of thing.

I think that each person has to change their settings themselves.
To do this you need to go into setting in the top right corner then untick email notifications to ___________. This will disable the emails for only you. You could tell everyone in your group how to disable the emails if it is bothering them.
