So my ex girlfriend and i broke up 3 months ago and we havent talked since. we still are friends on facebook, but we just dont talk anymore. We dated for about 9 months off and on and we finally ended it for real.

Absolutely not. She's an ex. That's nice you've maintained the Facebook "friendship," but if you're not talking, she doesn't need to go out of her way to wish you a happy birthday. It's healthier for the two of you to move on. It's nice if you run into each other and she happens to remember to say something, but otherwise, neither of you should be going out of your way to wish each other happy birthday or anything else.
