How to disable Timeline from facebook? - Biswa - 11-09-2012 12:12 PM

I want to disable timeline from facebook. How can i do that

- ZannieexD - 11-09-2012 12:20 PM

try going to settings and see if there is a button that says "use old facebook" or "restore old facebook" or "remove timeline." if you cant find anything like that, then your stuck with the timeline.

unfortunately you cant and soon they will be making it compulsory

- calmvest748 - 11-09-2012 12:20 PM

You can't.
Which really sucks.

- abraXus - 11-09-2012 12:20 PM

there is no way to remove it - everyone is being converted to the timeline - it's the new look for facebook, not an optional update

this guide will help you learn how to use it

Unfortunately, once you get Timeline, it's permanent.

There's no way to undo the Timeline upgrade. Although for the moment Facebook did not make a clear statement in any of its official pages about how the upgrade would be deployed, and as a consequence there is a lot of false information going around, experienced users know that Facebook upgrades of this size have never been optional.

Besides, there are clear evidences that indicate that there will be no way to go back to the old Profile. Take a look at the article in the source to see what those evidences are.

Once Timeline is enabled on your account you can't get rid of it, if you want to give Facebook feedback about Timeline you need to write to them directly via their official Timeline feedback form here: https://www.facebook.com/help/contact_us.php?id=235841249796277

BTW It is possible to view all timeline pages in the faster loading and more user friendly old style profile page format, if you follow this simple guide:
http://fbpurity.com/remove-timeline
If you look closely, you will notice the page has received over 11,700 likes from people who have found the solution to work and be helpful.
