Is Facebook getting a little ridiculous? - Cameraguy - 11-09-2012 12:13 PM

I joined Facebook about 4 years ago, and at the time it was pretty simple as far as what you could do, and it was only open to college students. It seems like now with all the random applications, ads, and status updates, Facebook is really losing track of what it's initial goal was. I like using it to stay in touch with old friends, and could care less about all the other things. Does anyone else feel this way?

It doesn't matter because it is doing so well. The idea and initial goal has expanded to something people simply couldn't even imagine 4 years ago. With the ability to create your own apps and such, all for free, it makes it a totally universal technology.

It kinda is. I don't care for the endless quizes. But I do like it better than Myspace right now because I have been able to keep in touch with more of my relatives far more easily than myspace

i like how the new one lets you hide some of your apps because some of my friends before had a mile long page just with apps. you can still keep in touch with friends just as well as before it just has lots of other things to look at other than a plain page of your friends.
