I can't seem to get the concept right. How do you tweet to someone with out having to retweet them? How do you ask game developers questions? Help me.

if you remember their username then you just put @username. Otherwise you can go to their profile, find where it says "Lists" (its on the same bar as the "follow" button) then to the right of that there's another button. Click that and click on "@ Mention username"

you use the @ button. So as to follow someone whose name is "friend" for example, you would create a new tweet by clicking your profile picture in the upper right hind corner, scroll down to where it says "new tweet", the it will direct you to a new page where an empty box is so you can type whatever it is you want to tweet. If I where to ask "friend" a question, I would type :
@friend how are you?
Then click the "tweet" button under the text box and your tweet should appear in their mentions and timeline.
Also, to direct a question or mention someone you must be following that person. So as to ask a game developer a question, first follow them and then mention them in your tweet.
