I mean, there's been like, 2 status updates in the past half an hour. Nothing happening. And yet, I only ever see things from the same people. There are many people in my friends list I haven't seen post in so long. I understand you can choose to filter your newsfeed and filter things out, but I don't believe I ever have.

clearly, you haven't and they just haven't decided to post. i post rarely on facebook, but use it more to contact others.

Facebook by default only shows part of people's postings. In order to see all posts, put your mouse on top of the person name, then move your mouse over the "Friends" button, then click on "Settings" button, then click on "All Updates". You will now see everything they post.
