I was in one of those private facebook groups & I left. Now i want to join again but some other people in the group tried to re add me but they can't. I also can't view the page. When I left the group it told me "If you ever want to rejoin, visit the group and click Ask to Join Group." but seeing as I can't see the group page I can't rejoin. Any ideas?

You'll have to ask the admin (who is in charge of the group) to re-add you onto the page, but other than that, there's no way.
