Ive made three groups on the chat thing and now i dont want the groups but i can't figure out how to delete them?

if you're talking about the lists, click on 'friends' (at the top between profile and inbox). Then you should see the lists you've made on the left of the screen. When you click on one of them, you'll have 3 options above the list of friends: Create New List, Edit List, Delete List. Click Delete List.
