I am new to twitter, been on it for about one week!

Well, I have a Facebook Page and I'm gaining likes. If you happen to have Facebook, like One Direction page. Then, in one of their post, comment the link. Sure, you will gain followers. Try doing the same thing, when 1D post story on their twitter wall, and thousand of fans start tweeting along with it...

I am not sure what you mean by "buying" followers. I would not want to. if someone likes you and the things you Tweet they will follow you. Few ordinary people have many followers. What does it matter. Just make your account interesting. 145 is astonishing. I have 10 ! I also follow the 1d boys.They have more than a million each. Lady GaGa has several zillion I believe.
