do facebook friends show up in any particular order on my friends list? - Josh - 11-09-2012 12:33 PM

I am wondering what dictates the order in which my friends names show up in my friends list. Does it have anything to do with who visits my page the most? Also, is there a reliable way to see who visits my wall without having a guest sign-in?

yep, the people at the top visit your profile the most

The order and selection of friends shown on your page is random. This should be obvious from the fact that it often changes radically from one visit to the next. The idea that it has something to do with how often they visit your page is a common misconception, but it has no connection with reality.

There is no real way to find out who visits your Facebook page and how often.

No there's no order. There really isn't a way to tell who's looking at your profile.

When viewing your profile they come up as random but if you choose to view them all they should be in alphabetical order(:

Friends images are random

Seems like there is a 'random + people you visit a lot' order. Example: I have 350 facebook friends, about 3 of the ones I visit the most are about 9/10 times on my friends list + some random other friends.
It can't be only random since some there are some friends (who's profile I visit more than average) who are almost every time there. If it would have been random, the probabilities that those 2-3 friends are almost always on my list out of the 350 friends are quite small.
