So I am experimenting with being Social online. I opened a twitter account and I am wondering how you get people to follow you? I just thought it would be something fun to do. Any ideas anyone? Thanks.

It took a while to build up followers when I began using Twitter. I started with people I knew, friends and coworkers. When you follow them, they will usually follow you. This holds true for almost all people except for those who have tens of thousands of followers (like a news commentator). I then started following people I didn’t know. Politicians, celebrities, and news people are a good place to start.
I watched a TV show had a loyal following. When it started, a group of about fifty of us would login and it was fun. This was really the only reason that I used Twitter. There would be running jokes and it was like family. Post from weeks ago would be resurrected. Everyone added everyone else. People you didn’t know would add you base on who their knowing that you where friends with these people. This will hold true for all categories of followers.

I use a website called twiends: http://twiends.com/me/KrAzY_aFrIcAN you basically sign up then you have choices of either buying followers, waching youtube videos, following people or referring people. When you follow someone you earn seeds from them, and vica versa when they follow you. You can decide how many seeds you want to offer per follow, and when you run out you remain on the list so people can still follow you if they like. its really good when i first made a twitter i was dedicated to getting followers and in a week i had over 800 but i ended up deleting it because i really never used it. I got back on tiwtter about 2months ago and as an updated count, I have about 6k followers, thanks to that website. you just have to put in time to get the results that you want...hopes this helps!
