I want to make a twitter but I'm afraid barely anyone would follow me. Is there a good way to get more followers?

Participate in #TeamFollowBack, where when people follow you, you will follow them back. You are certain to get followers like that.
Also participate in the latest twitter trends that are usually in form of #hashtags. Use examples found in Top Tweets and more.
Lastly, if you're going to tweet something, make sure it's a logical tweet. If your tweets make sense and can relate to others, people will follow you. If they make absolutely no sense to anyone but yourself, don't expect to gain much followers.

follow everyone you see and they will follow you especially follow celebs and some of their fans will follow you.
this actually works i did id 2 years ago and got 53 followers in 1 week.

Twitter is pointless. Why would you want people you don't know to follow you? Not trying to be mean, I just don't see the appeal.

You can try to use buy follower service. I bought 2,000 targeted followers from them, it took about a week.

Well, a combination of things.
1. You can purchase Twitter followers for as little as 1000 for £15.
2. Follow people (around 400) and then watch your followers grow up. You can delete the people you followed, hehe!
3. Get involved with some of the people you follow with the mention tag.
4. Get involved with trending topics - #.
5. Ask someone to mention you for Follow Friday!
