1. What does it mean when you but an @ symbol before a username?(@example1). Is it a public note for everyone to see, like writing on someone's wall?
2. What does it mean when you put a # symbol before the username (#example2)?
3. I want to send a picture, that I took, to a band... So, how do I go about doing that if they disabled direct messages? Like what would be the best way.

The @ symbol means that they are talking to that person. For example, if I put @Danielle I would be ensuring that you knew that what I said was directed at you.
