Nothing, its just a motivational tool for people. Maybe some groups give them special privileges, but in my experience, you get nothing out of being a officer

Officers have no additional privileges beyond regular members. They are unable to send messages to all members or remove members. Officers' names and positions are displayed on the group's page.
