How do I set my privacy so that no one can see ANY info about my if they search for me on Facebook? - brbgottapee - 11-09-2012 12:53 PM

When I search for myself on Facebook I can see some of my friends but nothing else. What privacy settings do I go into so that no one, other than my friends, can see anything at all about me other than my picture and name if they search for me?

Well, what kind of info do you want to hide? You can decide which info you want shown when people search for you by adjusting your Search Privacy Settings:
http://www.facebook.com/privacy/?view=search

UNCHECK the boxes under that middle section marked "Search Result Content" to hide certain info from your profile when being searched. Make sure you scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the blue Save Changes button when you're finished.

On the other hand, if you don't want anyone to search for you at all (they won't see your name on friends lists and if you write on a Wall your name will be a black non-clickable link), then at the top for "Search Visibility" choose "only friends" in the drop-down menu box. However, no one will be able to add you as a friend -- only you can add people.
