I was wondering if people can see what I comment on my friends photos or status' even if they're not friends with them.

Yes, their friends and your friends could see what you commented. But if they are not friends with you or the person's photo or statuses you commented on, then no.

It depends on other peoples settings on who can see their pics. If its open to the public then yes pretty much anyone can see what you wrote.
