you mean the news feed? because only you see your news feed - other people see your timeline, which replaced the "wall" that you speak of

Simply because facebook has now evolved from the "wall" to "timeline".

if you mean how comes no one sees your posts, then change who can see it to 'everyone' it should be buy the top where you write a status
