So as we all know the new timeline on facebook has TWO FRIEND'S BOXES.
First, what does the top one mean?
Second, what does the right side one mean? The one where your friend's names are written in white?

it all depends on how many friends you have if you have less than 20 it means u need a life

You mean the list on the right? The first list contains friends you probably chat more often with, like their photos or statuses etc. The second list contains all other friends who are online.

According to Facebook:
“By default, a changing selection of all your Facebook friends always appears under the Friends heading in the left column of your profile. This selection might include friends who you interact with the most in Wall posts, comments and mutually attended events. However, Facebook does not select friends to show based on whose profiles you choose to view or who you interact with over messages and chat.â€
