I guess what I'm asking is, is it possible to recover something deleted from my timeline?

If you Deleted it Its Gone For Good if you Hide it From Timeline which is Something totally different you may be able to restore it by Going to The Activity Log And than Clicking on Allow On Timeline on the Post

if you deleted it, you cant get it back
but if all you did was hide it, you can unhide it using your activity log
