Is it creepy to make a facebook ad to try and get a girl I dont know to talk to me? - Dave - 11-09-2012 01:13 PM

Its not as wierd as it sounds. (honestly)

Yesterday I saw a girl I really fancied on the train, but I never said anything to her and now Im really gutted I didnt.

I get that train twice a week, and have never seen her before. Is it acceptable to create an advert on facebook saying if you got off at this stop yesterday at this time to contact me? It might sound a bit wierd, but is it really that different to those adverts in the paper that say the same thing?? Facebook adverts can be narrowed down to people within a certain age and city.

Ignore costs, I just want your opinion on this matter.

Thanks
Forgot to mention, I dont even know her name, so I cant just add her normally.

It's not creepy at all. In fact, it's pretty sweet!

yeah it's weird, why don't you just try and add her on your normal facebook..

Yes I would find that very odd and wouldn't feel comfortable contacting the person.

Maybe you'll see her again, keep your eyes open.

Hope that helps.

i cant understand that you want to talk to her, but most girls will fine that very creepy (expecially myself) i dont think you should even contact her on facebook in general because she would find that creepy and ask how did you know my name, why are you contacting me ect. if you ever see her again on the train, then approach her, but i thing that making a fake facebook to talk to her is not a good move. sorry

i would say not to do that ... even though it would be sweet if you 2ended up dating .
wait till you see her again and get talking ... she must take the train again at some point lol

Although flattering, I wouldn't contact someone who said that. I probably wouldn't see it on facebook. She may not even have facebook. I had one guy follow me once after He was trying to get my attention in the store. He passed me, thankfully. I turned right into an area that housed 3 different apartment communities. When I got up in the morning, there was a little card on my windshield. I called it as it said something about music and DJ as I went dancing a lot. It was that guy. He had turned around with his 10 year old son and drove 45 minutes to find my car which was backed up into a carport. He said he had his son get out to see if my hood was still warm! If someone is interested in me, I would prefer them to contact me face to face. I didn't like people doing that kind of thing.

If you happen to see her again, strike up a conversation. She may not be someone you want to get to know after-all.
