i keep getting notifications on my facebook and it's all in, like, japanese? so of course i can't read it but i removed all app, so why am i still getting notifications for apps i don't (knowingly) have ?

Probably you have changed your default language to "Japanese" or something like that. Go to your "Account Settings" page, then under "Language", choose "English".
That should resolve the problem.
