I have a question regarding Facebook privacy? - melancholyfox - 11-09-2012 01:19 PM

If I hide my relationship status from a specific person but that person is friends with me and my significant other and he hasn't hidden HIS relationship status from her, does that mean she can still see it?

Facebook can be a wonderful social networking tool used for all sorts of reasons. Perhaps you are reconnecting with childhood friends or using it for advertising your business. Whatever the reason, you can customize the information that you broadcast to the rest of the social networking world. The information regarding your relationship status is something that you can easily control by taking a few easy steps when editing your profile.

Difficulty:EasyInstructions

1
Log in to your Facebook account.

2
Click on "Profile" in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

3
Click on "Edit Profile" in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

4
Click on "Friends and Family" on the left side of the screen.

5
Click on the down arrow in the drop-down box labelled "Relationship Status." Twelve status possibilities will appear. These statuses include "married," "single," and "widowed," among others. At the very top of the category is a blank spot. Click on this blank section and your relationship status will not be displayed
