A trapezoid's are is height (called "width" in the diagram) times the median (midpoint base).
a = bh
The diagrammed trapezoid has two of the quantities given:
a = 22.5
h = 6

So ...
22.5 = b 6
b = 22.5 / 6 = 3.75

Now, using the properties of similar figures, if Vanessa's pool has a width of 24, what is the median base? The area of her pond is the product of the two.

I expect that you can finish from there.
