I want my friends to be able to post things, but some of the folks in these games like to post every blessed thing they do when they "visit you" in these games. These posts are usually via the app itself. Timeline seems to only allow you to block everyone from posting in general. How do I block the apps from posting but still allow my friends to post to my wall?

it has nothing to do with the timeline.... but you can easily block wall posts from individual apps...
just hover over the annoyance, and then click the icon that appears in the top right of that post - it will give you the option of hiding all posts made by that app

when the apps post to your wall click on the button on the wall post and there will be a option that will say block Blank Blank App Click on that And it will block the app from posting to your wall hope i helped

1. You go to that specific post made by the application and disable it there or
2 (easier way) just go to Privacy Settings - > Apps and Websites and edit the privacy rights for the applications you want
